College vs onlne schools?
Question:
Answer:
MOST online colleges are not accredited which means u can't get financial aid and even if u get a degree, it's not worth the paper it's written on.. I went to a online school.. right before graduation I found out that my degree was useless and nobody would take it.. It's much cheaper and better to go to a reg. college. Big colleges will let u take almost all gen ed classes online. and if u have a problem, u can actually talk to a teacher for help.
my recolection is that going to college is much better because you can interact with others about answers to questions.. online schools. you have no idea who is in ure class and you cannot talk to them. I think college is much better.
i would go with college over online stuff because college isn't just about getting that degree, its also the experience and the friends you make, and the stories you'll have... think about it, High school, senior year... would you really trade that for an online diploma?...
Most online schools do not get rated as highly as physical colleges. Additionally they can be looked down upon by employers. However, if you don't have a lot of money and don't want to take out loans and plan on getting an advanced degree, some of the better online colleges could be a good place to go first. Additionally, some universities offer online classes even if you enroll in the physical university.
You want to make sure that wherever you end up is accredited in order for your degree to count.
Finally, your major can also play a roll in which is better...for engineering and sciences where visual and auditory learning is very important a physical classroom is best but for something like English you might be fine doing it online.
The company I work for does not recognize all on-line schools. I personally took on-line courses for accounting and I found it very hard due to there is not that person right there for you to ask questions. You must e-mail them and wait for a response. It is not as good as it sounds but is better than nothing. Just what ever you want to do with your life call a company and ask them to refer you to a good on-line school.
College is better, because it looks better when you graduate. Because I think anyone can pay their way it to get into online schools but some colleges have to keep a certain GPA. Plus you will interact with more people, make more friends, go to parties, etc. You can miss that!
By the way, most colleges offer online courses as well so you can do both.
Maybe you can try below website to get the information. It's about online school articles for your second opinion
Online colleges don't give you the same social experiences that a regular college would give you. The professors are not able to fully interact with you as well as it would be in a regular classroom. I'd say its really up to you though, do you feel that extra help in person would benefit you, thats where the decision is made, that and if you have work and can only find time to work on your degree in your spare time.
