Wanting the qualification is really good so make sure you give yourself the best chance. Know what you want to do and fit it around your study.
set out daily/weekly/ exam timetable diary WHEN you will study and for how long. Put this document where you see it leaving and entering your accommodation.
Pair up with another course member to cover for notes and "keeping going". Give yourselves rewards for working at exams.
Budget the cost of the exam and exam fees like the OU as cappuchinos per day or cokes or packets of fags to keep perspective on COSTS.
