Help!! Has anyone completed their High School Diploma online before?

I'm just curious to how legit this program is! My bestfriend is looking to get his diploma, then soon after go to college.
Does anyone know if that is possible with this program?
Also does anyone know what kind of colleges he can get accepted to if it is legit? Thanks!

I would be weary of this program as well. I work at a Community College and have seen students try to use these to get into college and if it's not accredited than it is no good. You should check.. if they guarantee you a diploma with just passing a test- then it's not legit. If your friend needs her H.S. diploma suggest to her taking the GED or there are many adult schools that offer distant learning Highschool diploma courses. The GED is just as legit as H.S diplomas for getting into a community college and then transferring. Remember that high school is a right in the U.S. until you are 18... so you shouldn't have to pay $300 to get it online.
Also just because they say they belong to the National Accreditaion of Schools.. doesn't mean they are legit. Each section of the country(Western, Eastern. etc..) has there own accreditation system and you can look them up by state. The national education system only oversees higher education places like universities and colleges.
I am an enrollment counselor at the University of Phoenix on line and I can tell you that I have had numerous students try to get into college only to be told their diploma was not from an accredited school. Be sure to ask the school that you are getting it from what their accreditation is. If you know what college your best friend wants to attend see if they accept the accreditation level the school has.
