You should be thinking about colleges now. The best time to apply is in the fall of your senior year. If you are a junior now, you should be visiting colleges this spring and summer. Try to visit 3-4. More than that and it gets confusing. Check out www.ecampustours.com too. You can do virtual tours on their website. But that does NOT replace a real tour of somewhere that you are truly interested in.
University of Phoenix offers an online degree program. www.phoenix.edu. They have lots of majors.

You need to start planning now, so you can take high school classes your senior year that could possibly help you prepare for your college major. You need to take the SAT and/or ACT, narrow possible college choices and if possible go ahead and decide on what you want to do as a career. You should also start researching possible scholarship options that may exist for you. Even if you are rich, save your parents money and apply for scholarships.
As far as your boyfriend, he needs to figure out what he wants to do himself.
Now is a great time to be looking around for schools. Request catalogs from those you are interested in. They should provide you with the admission guidelines. Some schools want you to have some community service activity as well as extra-curricular and academic activities.
