Are Online classes at a community college as well reconized as real classes?

Question:
I plan on getting an associate degree at a local community college and then transfering to a 4 year university. I work a full time job and would like to take a few online courses, but was wondering if having online credits would make it harder to transfer to a four year university.

Answer:
If you're taking the online class through the community college, you should have no problem transferring the credits just like a normal class.

4 year universities might have different policies for transferring units from "online-only" universities, trade schools, or for-profit universities.

But yes, online classes require a lot of self-discipline and a *lot* of reading, writing, and independent learning. If that works for you, go for it!
You betcha!
In Canada yes
On line courses at a qualified college are no different as far as your final grade than regular classes you attend in a classroom. They will appear the same on your transcript.

What you need to consider is what kind of learner are you. Will you keep up with the work on line? Will you learn as much with out the live interaction of people. I learn better when I see, hear, and recite things. That does not happen on line.

From the people that I've spoken with you need to be very disciplined for one line classes. If you are, then they are a great thing.
The transcript looks the same regardless of the class format.
