Western Governors University is an online regionally and nationally accredited school and it is cheap! I'm going to get my masters from there. Website is wgu.edu. They have bachelors and post-bacc and masters degrees all online...
There's reputation, and then there are schools that employers tend to actually frown upon. Many of the typical "online" type schools - including U Phoenix - fall into this second category. Consider your options carefully.

Online schools are very expensive - often moreso than fancy private, brick and mortar universities. These programs seem to be considered money makers for many schools, so there aren't a lot of cheap rates available.

There are reputable, "brick and mortar" schools that offer degrees online. Their good reputation for their on-campus programs will flow over into their online program. Some great universities that offer online degrees include:

University of Massachusetts at Amherst
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
University of Denver
University of Maryland
Duke University
Drexel
Carnegie Mellon
Penn State
Ball State
U Nebraska - Lincoln
Babson
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
University of Illinois

And there are others. Check with your local state college, and your local community colleges. More and more of these have been offering quality online degrees lately, and you may qualify for the in-state tuition rate - which is a huge discount.

But in general, when you're looking for a distance learning degree, try to find a program at a school that has a good reputation for their "brick and mortar" campus.
