Is there an online website where I can take a test to see what major to choose for college?

Question:
I am not sure of what to study in college, I want to clear all my core classes first, but I also want to study abroad. I love history, culture, languages, writing, travel, things of that such and I was wondering if there is an online website that has a free test, like they have at the community colleges to find out what I am most interested in. Please Help!

Answer:
Try these free sites:

http://www.assessment.com/mappmembers/we...

http://www.livecareer.com/

http://www.free-career-test.com/tfct.asp...

I would take all three tests, and more if you can find them, to see if you get consistent results and recommendations. Then evaluate the results with what you feel in your heart would be interesting work to do.

Also, there is no substitute for on-the-job experience - so if you can get some during the summers, try to get exposed to the kind of work you are anticipating by summer job or volunteer work.

Hope this helps!

or google it.
there are so many online...just search through.
Be careful about making important decisions based on "free tests." Save up some money and go purchase the services of a professional Vocational Psychologist who utilitzes standardard tests and measurements that are scientifically reliable and valid. Most colleges and universities have testing centers (usually related to the Psychology Department) that administer standardized tests and measurements. You are wise to think ahead. Good luck in your educational pursuits.
