Moving to Seattle, but I'm going to College... how would I transfer my credits?

Question:
It's actually my mother going to college, but... You know, it's easier to phrase it that way. She said that some of her credits won't transfer, so we can't move because she'll have to do at least 2 or 3 more years in college. She also said they aren't available online...
HELP!

Answer:
Colleges will give you a prospective evaluation before you go, and she can choose the school that looks like the best fit. Chances are she may lose a class or two, but she should have plenty of schools to choose from in Seattle. Sometimes you have to go through what they send you and appeal the transfer status of some classes. Two of my classes did not transfer correctly, but I brought the syllabi from the classes I took in to the head of that department and they reviewed them and changed the transfer status.

Good Luck!
