Is COLLEGE ONLINE a good or bad idea? why? Do u benefit the same?

Question:

Answer:
A good portion of the learning experience in college is the actually living part. It's an introduction to independence, to working with other personalities, to meeting new people, working in groups, dialog with peers, direct professor access, etc. It's great preparation for the real world.

I also chose to go to school far from home. I benefited a great deal from just living some place new, meeting people from part of the country I had limited contact with, etc.
bad cause it might be a scam
Good because you get to study at your own pace, when you have the time and inclination.

bad because you need self discipline to keep on track, and you miss the benefit of conversation and the input of other students.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

BAD BAD BAD BAD IDEAAAA>>>>>SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM..TRUST ME!
It costs waaaay too much. I looked into it for Criminal Justice, and yeah, It was convenient, but $30,000. You'll prob never get the assistance you really need over the internet, either.
bad idea! bad bad idea. most institues online are not accredited, nor accepted the same as physically attending college, I have looked into this myself as I love learning. If you decide to do this check into the credentials of the college thoroughly before spending time and money.
Depends on your schedule and lifestyle. Make sure the college is accreditable and transferable.
Actually, Online College (the real ones that are accredited) is just as effective for teaching as any other University with a Campus.

The big difference is you won't get the same social experience.
I have my degree Online. It's not easy as one would think. Online education is still trying to get the respect from the interviewee as traditional college. Of course, my online education has not hurt me. In fact many college's are see $$ in Online education. I think this is why it's starting to earn respect now becasue so many are starting to offer it. Pick a good one. UOP is the largest. maybe look for a college in your area that offers it. You'll only benefit the same if you can get the job. Remember people are hiring you 1st.& 2nd Then your experience & 3rd maybe what our education is and where it's from. Right now Online college might not be looked at as you went to Loyola or Stanford or Ohio State. Of course one of these I am sure offer course online.
If you receive a degree from a reputable institution, it can be worthwhile. Many "brick and mortar" universities now offer online degrees, and/or courses that you can take online. In addition, if your degree if from a recognizable University, then you'll be less likely to run into to stigma that many attach to online degrees.
No , future employeers will not take it seriously when they see it on your resume . You may find one that looks good , but the possibility to get scammed is huge. Might I suggest that you look into correspondence course at a nearby college or university.
