I am a full time employee and a mom how can i take college on top of that??
Question:
Answer:
You have two full time jobs. Hmm. This is doable so long as you do not sacrifice your children's time. I suppose you don't need much sleep. I must say it is good to hear you put children first, wish the rest of the world heard that drum.
It's hard hard hard...but you can do it. I wouldn't try more then 2 night classes at a time. I hope you have a supportive family otherwise you won't be able to keep it up.
I take classes through Penn Foster who has alot of different certificate programs. The prices are not that bad. Good luck
It will be difficult.
Chances are you will sacrifice something, whether it be the time you need with you're children or the time you need with you're studies or the time you need to keep you're home the way you want it.
Consider what is most important to you. You're children should be you're first priority over anything, as selfish as that sounds. Their time with you is limited and they will grow up faster than you think they will.
Look into your local college and do it online at certain times...You can have the kids watching some movies or an activity while you study.
There are only so many hours in the day. First sit down and really look at your schedule, ( Remember you need some "down time" too) If you really want to do the classes you have to figure what time you can sacrifice. Working full time with kids may be a bit much to handle right now. Good Luck
I'm a mom and a college student. It takes good time management that is for sure. It would be really nice to get some support from friends and or family members. Maybe someone could come over once a week or so and clean your house? Maybe someone could run errands here and there for you? Before you start your classes look around the house and your life and see what, if any changes you can make that would make your life easier. For example; Maybe you have some bills deducted automatically from your checking account. Set up other bills to be paid online through your bank's bill pay. Set specific hours of "school time." Myself I do a lot of it when my daughter is in preschool and after she goes to bed. Oh and believe me a good night's sleep is essential! Good luck and honey it can be done. I graduate this June. You can do it!
