Would it be a good idea to take a college economics course online?

Question:
I want to so I can get some credits out of the way over the summer.

Answer:
It really depends on what type of learner you are. If you are a very hands-on type learner, it probably would not be a good idea. If you are a very independent learner, you will get just as much out of the online course as the regular lecture. I have taken an online course before and found that the schedule is much more flexible but you have a lot less instructor assistance.
Actual on line is good if you don't have time to attend the courses or are too far away to attend the lectures, but otherwise it's better to do it the usual way.
No -- horrible idea.
Not a bad idea to get something out of the way. I am not sure if it is a better learning platform. The one online course I took was not a great experience for me. But it might be for you. I still think being in the classroom is the best form of learning however.
