What is better for me DeVry classes Online or going to their Campus?

Question:
I am graduating Highschool in a few months and I set my eyes on DeVry University. The closest Campus to me is about 2 hours away. Which to me is quite a travel and further than I want to be. I want to be near my parents and other family in my hometown. I've been hearing that Online classes are more expensive than if I went to their campus.. Is this true? There is also a community college near me that I believe an option opened up that I get some credits there then get the rest online, is this a better idea?

Would you recommend I take DeVry's Online courses (I want to take their CIS program) or actually go to their Campus?

Answer:
I know you have your heart set on DeVry, but would you please consider something else? I don't have anything against DeVry except for the cost.

Take a look at the following online program from University of Illinois. Granted, you will need to complete an associates degree first, but you could do that at your local community college. Your bachelor's degree at DeVry is probably going to cost a little over $50,000. The degree from University of Illinois will cost just over $12,000 in tuition plus books and your associates degree will probably only cost about $4,000.

Its up to you and your preference you will get the same cirriculum online as you would in class so whatever is easier for you the only diff is the social concept of actually going to class with others
Well, my father is a professor there and from me coming to a few of his classes I would have to say you'll want to take everything on campus. With going to campus and taking classes you actually get hands on learning and someone is there to help you out if you need it. While if you stay at home and do the classes online then you really dont get any of the hands on learning. 2 hours can become quite a hastle to drive if you were to stay near your parents, but I'm sure they would understand you moving away to go to school as long as you came and saw them every once in a while. It's going to happen eventually anyways and college is usually the time that it does. It's perfectly normal. Hope this helped you. = )
