Online Colleges?
Question:
Answer:
Baker College is regionally accredited, so you probably won't have much trouble transferring credits. One possible problem is Baker is on the quarter hour system. Most respectable B&M schools to which you would transfer would probably be on the semester hour system. Therefore, a four-credit hour course will be converted to 2.68 semester credit hours. So, if you took two courses or eight quarter credit hours at Baker in mathematics and you transfer and need six credit hours in mathematics for the degree at your new school, you'll be short a little more than one-half credit.
Additionally, while Baker isn't the most expensive school, $180 per quarter credit hour is approaching the high side. $180 per quarter credit is equal to $268 per semester credit.
An alternative is Fort Hays State University - http://www.fhsu.edu/virtualcollege/...
It's $137 per semester credit hour.
Another is University of Wyoming - http://outreach.uwyo.edu/ocp/
Good luck
Employers feel the same, if not better, about online schools. It shows dedication and the ability to learn on your own. If you do choose to transfer to a traditional college MAKE SURE the credits from the online institution are transferrable to the traditional institution.
And don't just take the online schools word for it, contact the school you plan to transfer to.
The best are those that are connected to a brick and mortar, you can use the facilities etc. the accredition and reputation are usually better. I attend one now, it's Northeastern University.
i dont think there is any difference beacause at the end of the day it is the degree that matters and nnot where you go the degree from. look for a good online college. compare their module structures witht the so called brick and mortar ones and make a good choice with the help of someone who is knowledgeable in the feild you are interested in. also the online colleges have higher standards of unbaised marking because of obvious reasons. dont let anyone make you think it is not worth getting an online degree. if you want to better yourself, go for it girl!
For as long as the online college you attend is accredited, the employers view it as credible as a brick and mortor college. Research results have consistently shown that with good instructional design there’s no significant difference between distance learning and in-class learning.
Thus your key is to attend an online college that upholds these principles; accredited, offers quality online instruction and has a good track record.

I rec'd my AA from Baker College's on-line program and now I am goind for my BA.
Not only does my Fortune 200 employee accept the degree, they paid for it!
Of all of the on-line programs, Baker's is the most affordable.
At $180 per credit hour, this is one of the best values in on-line education.
It is very fast paced with 4-semesters a year, with 2 6-week sessions per semester.
Don't kid yourself..these 6-week long classes have a significant amount of work...
Participation 5 of 7 days per week is required in addition to your assignments.
My transcript and degree look just like the ones from the traditional brick and mortar school.
Since Baker College is an accredited school, the credits should transfer to your college of choice.
