Education for employment.?

Question:
Hello everyone, I have a question that i would like to get answer from those one who known and have been this situation before.
Do you think that employers are looking for candidate that graduate from Land base college or online college. Now day, hundreds and thousands of working adult in their field are obtaining degree from online college or university due to many reasons's. Do you think employer will even look at the applicant resume or application if the candidate got his/her degree from online institution.
Or, does it depend on some of the employer and what type of position they are applying for?. For example, if the candidate is applying for accounting position, but he/she got her degree from legitimate online institute, what are the chance of that candidate will be accepted in the position comparing to those one who got their degree from brick-and-mortal school.
The main question is, does online education matter to employers when brought opon light.

Answer:
An old fashioned university education will always go to the top of the pile. If you can manage to get a degree from a real, ACCREDITED on line university, then you can stay in the pile. Otherwise, straight to the trash. Most of the on line degree mills are fly-by night and non-accredited. You might as well save your money.
I think it shows self-improvement. Just do it then network.
Which university is the source of the degree is very important in many hiring prefrences. Especially in the law and medical fields. Only grads from a certain level of universities are accepted by many firms.

Part of the problem is that in the sixties the general U.S. population was led to believe that a college degree could increase life long earning power, and at that time it was generally true. These sixties grads are now parents and grandparents, demanding degrees from their off-spring.

Therefore, with so many degreed applicants, its importance now is far less significant. Degrees are more easily earned today than in the sixties and many of today's grads still posses only five cans to the six pack, so to speak.

For earlier entry into the job market with a probability of higher earning power and swifter rise to bigger jobs, consider a vocational school for training.

Trained skilled professionals from vocational schools seem to enter a more demanding marketplace with higher earning power and an ability to actually perform a job.

A person does not need a high school diploma nor a college degree to work in film, for example. There is a shortage of production accountants and assistants today, even though the pay is pretty good. Union rate is about $1,400 a week for five days for an assistant accountant and over $2,400 a week for a key accountant. The pay is higher on locations for a six day week and many are paid more than minimum, plus per diem.

And it is not even "accounting;" it is just bookkeeping!
