Wish to study online for a Diploma or Degree in English Language but couldn't find any college/university?
Question:
Answer:
Please be aware that one of the posters gave links to Belford and Ashton "university", which are considered to be "diploma mills", meaning that the accrediting agencies are unrecognized and these are not reputable places of study. Actually, both Belford and Ashton give degrees based on life experience, and this alone should be a warning that they are not worth much.
If you are looking to really study for a distance degree, you need to find a real university that offers some of their programs per distance or with a short period of face-to-face study. It was not apparent from your posting if you wish to get an undergraduate degree, if it's an actual "English major (literature) or English language degree that you want and where you are located, but these could mean a great deal in the advise that you get.
In any case, I can give a very reputable university that offers both a Dipolma in English or BA (this is an English literature course, not an English language course) and it's through the University of London (External programme). Here is a direct link: http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/prospect...
Also, regarding diploma mills, you can go to the following link to find out more on how to recognize.

Good luck.
