What government organizations can help me pay for college?
Question:
I had to stop going to school to go back delivering pizza. My car is raggedy and will probably break down soon. I've been looking for another job but can't find one. Only way I know to make better money is to go to school. If I don't figure something out quick I will be homeless and I won't have the Internet for my online classes.
I don't have any kids so government assistance is out of the question. I don't want it anyway. I just need a helping hand now. I can't wait 6 months. I may be jobless tomorrow if my car fails.
Does anyone know of any government organizations that pay for college who don't have a height/weight requirement? I don't meet the Peace Corps' eligibility requirements.
Answer:
I joined the service when I was over weight but under body fat measurements. But that was 15 years ago and I'm not totally sure how strict they are on weight for enlistment. I know you should be able to enlist if your under the body fat percent of 21%. Then once in you can work on loosing the weight so body fat wont be an issue!
just try to lose the weight...next you will become an obese adult and see other free things you could get
NO, none that I know of, most of us that don't have wealthy parents take night jobs, get scholarships and BORROW money to go to college. It might take you ten years to get a degree, but that is YOUR problem.
Get a life, the GOVERNMENT is not responsible for you!
Have you applied for pell grants, guaranteed student loans ?
The funding for government pell grants has almost doubled over the last 6 years.
You should go to the Student Aid office at the college you attend and fill out the paper work to apply for student aid.
