Recommendation on Online College?

Question:
I have attended Univ. of Phoenix (North Central Assoc) and Howard Comm. Coll. in MD (Middle States). UOP's administration was **horrible** and it will take me forever through HCC.

Does anyone have any suggestions on an online college that will take all my previous credits and is in a UOP like format? I don't want to lose my credits and need the flexibility because I have a baby and a full time job.

Thanks!

Answer:
There are many state colleges that will accept up to 75% of a degree in transfer. Also, the public colleges will be less expensive. Many of them will have online programs too. Here are some schools for you.

Fort Hays State University – http://www.fhsu.edu/virtualcollege/...
Peru State University - http://www.peru.edu/offuttafb/degreeprog...
University of Wyoming – http://outreach.uwyo.edu/ocp/
American Public University – http://www.apu.apus.edu/index.htm...

There are three schools that are regionally accredited that accept 100% of a degree program in transfer credits. These are Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu Thomas Edison State College http://www.tesc.edu and Charter Oak State College http://www.cosc.edu

Since you mentioned that your CC degree would take forever, I assume you haven't tried CLEP or DSST tests. These are exams that many colleges will award college credit for passing. For information on these go to http://www.collegeboard.com and http://www.getcollegecredit.com... There is a forum of people who have successfully used these tests http://www.instantcertonline.com/forums...

Now, to really freak you out, there is a website where a person outlines how to get a regionally accredited bachelor's degree in four weeks. The information is a little out-of-date and it's probably not possible anymore. However, it is entirely possible to obtain a regionally accredited bachelor's degree in about a year for a lot less than UoP will charge. http://www.bain4weeks.com

Good luck
Find out what courses your state university offers online. The credits will be more transferable and your degree will be moe credible.
