You look at the class schedule to see what classes are scheduled for on-line. Work is listed in a syllabus and you are responsible for all deadlines. It will tell you what modules are due when along with tests schedule. Tests are timed and when the time runs out your booted from the test.

I am not sure if calculus three would be on-line. I assume it is a difficult math class, but if you are really good with math I assume it is possible to take it.

You must be a very organized student to get the work done. I do know someone who was really good with math who finished the modules and all her test in a math class within three weeks.

I took two on line classes one completely without a teacher. She would post information for us each week and grade assignments with a personal post. Another class had on-line work and then we had to be online and post ideas for one hour each week. Both were very time consuming.

I hope this information helps with your decision.
it would be a pain to do becuase you have no teacher to verbally explain things and math is hard to show your work on the computer i would voice my opinion against it
In most cases, enrollment in individual credit bearing courses is by simple application, where the only academic requirement may be that you agree that you have taken the prerequisites.

Exam procedures vary, but in the distance and online courses I have taken, you take a timed, proctored exam at a pre-approved location. This would usually be a local library, the testing office of a local college, the education center at a military base, or the distance learning center of a local college. The proctor has to be pre-approved, and is generally someone who does not otherwise know you.

I know some programs have computer based exams, and in some cases the exams are take-home, not proctored (in which case they are normally open book, open notes, and are made correspondingly more difficult to adjust for that).

I took calculus III by distance education, years ago before online became popular. It worked out fine.

If you did OK in calculus I and II, then III is not a really hard course. But if I were taking it online I would take it at a good university, in a program that has tutors or mentors, resource web pages, etc.

If you do not mind getting familiar with Mathematica software, and you like computer visualization (a very good thing to have in calculus III), then you might consider Math 241 at netmath (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). They have mentors and special tutorial web pages. Here is their web site:
