Accounting Degree ?- A.S to B.S or straight to B.S?

Question:
Im going to start out my accounting degree at a technical college which offers an associates degree in accounting. I will be registering for classes this week and I need some advice. Should I do the 2 year associates degree program get an A.S in accounting than transfer to a 4 year college to complete my B.S or should I just start out doin generals than transfer to a 4 year and just get my B.S?
With an associate's degree, you could get a part-time job within the field while going to school for the BS.
An Associates Degree is nice, but when it comes to degreess like Accounting, you need a B.S. When you get you resume put together after college, the A.S. will add alittle icing on the cake, but that's it. My advice, don't go to get an Associates. If you're planning on going to a junior college, take your basics and don't worry about an Associates since you plan on transferring. It'll be quicker, easier, and cheaper.
JUST GO STRAIGHT TO B/S ITS TOO COMPLICATED TO DO A/S TO B/S MOST FOUR YEARS ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM TECHINICAL COLLEGES YOUR BEST BET IS TO TAKE GENERALS THEN TRANSFER.
I agree, since you want to eventually get your B.S. in Business with a major in Accounting, you will save time and money by just starting towards your Bachelors from Day 1.

Although, I would check with the college/university you are trying to go to, but you may be able to take the general accounting courses at the Tech school which may transfer over to the 4 year institution. You can save some $$ that way.

Best advice would be to talk to the advisor's and see what you can do.
