Where do I sell my college text books if the bookstores and online sites won't take them?

Question:
ebay doesn't look too good either..

Answer:
ebay always looks good
advertise in the classified section of your newspaper
IN THE PROJECTS OF MOWTOWN
In my city we have a store called half priced books that might give you a buck or two for them.
http://www.halfpricebooks.com/
I sold my wife's books on eBay. If all else fails, donate them and write it off on your taxes.
Why wouldn't they take them? If they won't take them because they are too old, you are probably out of luck, the info becomes obsolete after ten or fifteen years...
Put them in a garage sale. I sell mine on half.com...you get to set the price.
well sell them to college students

that is if u are still in college
We sell ours on Ebay lots.
craigslist

Absolute best online classified.
Have you tried half.com or barnes and nobles?
Put up fliers at a few colleges also.
Most sites like half.com, amazon.com will take any books to sell.
You can look up the class that will be using the book next semester and post for sale signs on the doors to the classroom. That and ebay has a section specifically for text books, www.half.com its really good and really reliable. That and go to www.textbooksnow.com, they buy your text books from you over the web. I've used them and they pay a fair price. But to maximize the amount you get back, use half.com or go to the classrooms like I said.
Make a list of the text books and put prices next to them (make them cheaper than your first impulse, just to get them to move faster). Then make copies of the list and ask if you can post it at the college. Have strips of paper printed at the bottom (strips hanging vertically with 'book!, your name, your phone number) so that people can rip them off and keep them to call you about buying the books.
If that doesn't appeal to you, call some used book stores in your area. They might be interested but would want you to bring the box of books so they can look at them.
I always sell my used texts through Amazon. My prices were comparable to other sellers with the same condition of the book, and it was always bought within a week.
