Online College Courses.?

Question:
I am looking to fulfill required credits to start a certification in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound. I will need to complete college level physics, algebra and biology. Possibly English if my credits for that won't 'roll over' since it was from about 13 years ago.

Has anyone taken these online college classes and been able to use them to register for a certification class? Also, is financial aid available for online classes?

Answer:
The best place to get the correct answer to this question is an admissions advisor at the school where you intend to get your certificate.

Generally, financial aid is available for online courses if the school is a Title IV school and you are enrolled as a degree-seeking or certificate student. If you plan on taking online courses at one school and transferring them to another school, then you might not get financial aid if you are not enrolled as a degree-seeking student at the first school.

There are a few places where you can take some of the courses you have mentioned online or through correspondence. One of my favorites is Independent Study at Louisiana State University. http://is.lsu.edu/courselist.asp?nid=102...
Tuition is relatively inexpensive at $229 for a three-credit hour course.

Good luck,
