Should I go to college?

Question:
I am 23 years old and work as a store manager for a small company. I make very good money, 20k just in bonuses and salaried also. My girlfriend is graduating college this year and just took the mcat and more than likely will be going to medical school. And no she won't leave me, we have been together 7 years because I know some smart asses say that she will but we are planning marriage. I don't feel satisfied with good money and no college degree, I feel like I should go back to school but I could only take night classes or online courses but don't know how good they really are. If you were me and you were in my situation what would you do?? I live in San Antonio and have a major college here that offers some courses online. What would be the best degree for me to get? I am also in the process of opening my own business, with the owner of my company now so I know it will all work out. I just dont know what to do....

Answer:
I think you SHOULD go ahead an get a college degree. You can definately prosper more, and expand your horizons and open your doors to a world of opportunities. I am not too sure how good these online courses are, but I am sure if you do your homework on the online courses, you will definately be able to find something good. All the best to you !
Am sure your girlfriend will support your decision and be proud of you - no matter what you do !
yes, go to college
if u would feel better about urself go to college
Sounds like you have a good job. Is it stable - will you stay employed and have chances to earn more as time goes on? It's true that more education often means more options, but if you like what you're doing and want to keep doing it go ahead! In service industries and retail management, experience often counts for more than a degree. Do you think you might like to try a different line of work in the future? Is there any reason why you need to go back to school soon? You can probably go back to school later on, too, if you want to change careers down the road.

Why do you think you feel dissatisfied with your current job? Is it because your girlfriend has more education? Is it because you feel like other people look down on you? Is a college degree something you just always thought you should have? Ask yourself why you're feeling this way - if the reason is social pressure or a sense of inadequacy, you may want to think about it some more.

Good luck with your decision!
hm... yea i would go to college if i were you, since now your opening up a new business and stuff, just so you would know more about how things work and stuff in the business world. some companies here offer tuition reimbersement, so maybe you could talk to the owner of the business about that, but even if you dont graduate college with a degree, it wouldnt hurt to take a few classes.
I think that you can definitely take night or weekend classes and get at least an Associate's degree in business, economics, real estate, etc.

If you can, attend community or state college. Avoid those "for-profit" colleges because those are overpriced and are not very prestigious. Don't be duped by those "get your degree in only 10 months!" gimmicks.

Another piece of advice: since your gf is graduating, perhaps she can support you and you can take time off work to study? Just an idea. Since you seem motivated to attend college instead of working, you should just work part time, if at all.
Definitely! It's never too late to go back. Sure taking on-line and night classes may be a pain but it's worth it. Having a college degree has never hurt anyone, not having one has. As for what to major in - if you are going into entrepreneurship by starting your own company I would go into Business it could be something as general as Business Administration. Good luck with it.
Absolutely go to college!, especially if you have the means to do so.

Your making good money now, but later that good money is small into comparison to what you could make with a degree.

If you want to climb the "corporate ladder" you have to be able to compete with other applicants. I know people without college degrees that have been overlooked and to have their employees go higher.
