Nursing Bachelors: Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Los Angeles?

Question:
i know that the Associate Degree Nursing programs at community colleges have long waiting lists. does anybody know if there are long waiting lists for these bachelor degree programs? Are they difficult to get into? Do they offer classes so that people who work full time jobs can still attend??

Any kind of extra information will be greatly appreciated

Answer:
Both CSULB and CSULA have *long* wait lists for the BSN programs. One of my interns is at CSULA right now, and while she is on the BSN track, she's going to do a BA in business first because it'll be at least two years before she gets into the BSN courses.

Long Beach has an even longer wait. Many students get their nursing pre-reqs done at community colleges first and then try their luck getting into CSULB. There is hope -- many do make it.

If you are not totally tied to the LA-area, have you considered CSU Bakersfield? Their BSN program is a lot less impacted, and it's not *that* far from LA (90 minute drive north of LA).
