Has anyone ever heard of Canyon College?

Question:
Canyon College is an online college based in Caldwell, Idaho. They offer bachelor's degrees in Social Work, my dream major, but they are not a title four school, therefore do not offer financial aid. Has anyone heard of it? Or heard that it's a rip off? I'd really like to know, because I really want my degree! Thanks.

Answer:
They are a degree mill. They are not accredited by any real accrediting body. Your social work degree will be useless and worthless as it is not accredited by CSWE. You will not be eligible for MSW programs and licensure. Do not waste your money. Though there are no fully online BSW programs at the moment you should find a number of programs that offer some of their courses online. DA
No
no but i've heard of COC (College of the Canyons) in Santa Clarita, CA
Nope...i think u should look for other schools (either well-known schools, or really good schools)
Canyon College is not accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education...which means that degrees awarded by them will not carry the same weight as one earned from a nationally accredited school.

I would suggest finding a different place to get your diploma.
