I have played online poker for a couple weeks and done well?
Question:
Answer:
It's just like anything else, if your good at it you can make money. Can you get rich from it? Yeah, but you can also get rich from playing football or golf if you are good at them too.
I would suggest playing for fun for now, don't bet more than your willing to lose and if you make extra money than great.
Many people play to supplement their income. I've done it. It just depends on whether you can stomach the ups and downs. It's very hard to win consistently. I've gone on bad runs that have lasted months. I rarely actually lose money, but some months when I only break even it really sucks and it really does take the fun out of the game.
I've gone back to just playing for fun. It's nice when I win some money, but it's only fun money. I don't depend on it.
I enjoy playing poker also. I have limited my card playing to tournaments only. I believe it is best to keep it as a hobby. If you are going to play online to supplement your income, then you definitely need to put boundaries in place and stick to them. It is a fun hobby, I don't know if it would be very fun as a profession considering the element of luck that comes into play.
well it is possible but don't depend on it then you get addicted but yes it can be done. but if I start to lose i would stop. but yes it can be done DON'T GET ADDICTED.
Professional poker players (at Bay 101 Shooting Stars tournament in San Jose, CA) have told me that their daily grind is no different than an office worker going to their cublicle for 9 hours a day. Then there are others, like Antonio Esfandiari, who relish every hour of every day and really enjoy the professional poker life. Charisma and personality can get a lot of the pros some really lucrative marketing deals with poker companies. This is money that part-time online players, like me, do not get. I use online poker to bring in extra income that I use for luxuries and splurges...
wow you're loaded
well, u prob. know this, but i would say to manage ur poker account properly... dont use your car payments or other outside funds
use ur gains to create more gains
and like i tell my friends, whom could care less about my advice, and that is to take ur ego out of the equation. dont think about the money, think about strong performance... emotions cloud the judgement
