How can i get a 2006 tax statement online for college application?
Question:
Answer:
How did you file? If you filed online then you could go to the website that you filed on and see if you could get it that way. I used taxact to file my taxes and was able to get a copy a couple of weeks ago. If you used an accountant to file, then call the tax office and they can give you the information that you need.
You can't - IRS filed forms are only available by calling the IRS and making application where they can mail it to you and if that is not the address on the form, life gets more complicated.
If you efiled through a company you should be able to sign into that site and retrieve a copy of it, but if you didn't you can't do that you will have to call the IRS and they will mail you a copy, they do not allow you to get a copy online.
You can obtain a transcript by calling (800)–829–1040 or by completing and mailing Form 4506-T (PDF), Request for Transcript of Tax Return, to the address listed in the instructions to request all types of transcript verification of non-filing, and wage/income information.
