Is there any place online I can take the College Placement Test?
Question:
Answer:
Sorry, but you can't take the CPT anywhere but at a College. I should mention that most colleges would be willing to administer the test to you for another institution if traveling a long distance to take the test at your college of choice is the problem. Hopefully, you are aware that the CPT is the Accuplacer, which is a Collegeboard test.
If you're worried about it, here is a link to the Collegeboard's Accuplacer student site, which has the instructions and some practice questions: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/test...
I might be wrong on this, but I don't think so. Any exam that is needed to be passed for certification isn't allowed to be taken online (at your home or on your own without monitoring) because you can look up answers or check study guides for help.
I've never heard of the ACT, SAT, Praxis, MAT, or any other test being taken online; they have all been taken on a campus somewhere monitored.
No, why would any college trust a test taken that way?
Even bars who only give away free food don't let you play trivia while you talk to a smart friend and fast Internet.
