Military wife looking for $ for college?
Question:
Answer:
6 year Army wife here..
Have you applied for FAFSA??
That is where I got some money. Also, there is usually someone at the Ed Center who specializes in financial aid (if you are on or near base). Try going to military.com and look under the spouses link to see if there is anything there?
What branch are you?? You may be able to use some of you husband's GI bill.ask the specialist at the Ed Center about that.
Good Luck.I am looking at going back to school to, so I will soon be doing some research about financial aid myself.
Y Don't you just get a bank loan
I wou;d strongly not recomend using pay loan or pay day
use an accuall bank and don't get in to a life of debt
have you tried the ed center on base? They usually have great resources. Also, check with the university the will be able to give you a list of resources.
Why don't you use your husbands GI bill? Contact someone in the branch hes in and ask them to help you. There are programs for your specific case. A buddy of mine was a SGT in the Army and his wife got her college paid for.
You are made eligible for a lot of stuff by filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Many loan and grant programs base their decisions on these documents.
Also, you can check with your husband's CO, because I think that you are eligible for DANTES assistance...which is a program that is meant to help people in the military to earn their college degrees while they are enlisted.
I also know that the military branches have a lot of different programs and resources for it's enlisted and families of enlisted personnel who want to go back to school and get a degree.
Check with your hubby's CO's office to see what they say.
