Can someone tell me that online colleges are better than traditional colleges or not?

Question:

Answer:
Good question -- it all depends on the field you're majoring in, and how quickly you want (or need) the degree.

If it's a computer tech job, or a dental assistant ... those kinds of jobs, sure, the quicker the better, and you'll get the specialized knowledge needed.

Otherwise, there is no comparison. A traditional college offers a well-rounded education you would never get online. The give and take (and first-hand interaction) with a live professor / instructor is another huge advantage.

I can't tell you how many individuals I've met who have a certificate to trouble shoot hardware problems. They walk into a room as if they're god (with a small "g"). And, while they do serve a purpose, it's embarassing to see how it gets to their head -- simply because they lack the education, wisdom and class you would find in a true college graduate.

Lastly -- your university experience is multi-blessed as you interact with students who are in college pursuing a different major than yourself.

Going to a computer college, or secretarial school is great in that you are ALL there for the same reason. You're all focused on the same goal. The drawback is you're not interacting with others whose differences will give you a more balanced approach to life.
hell no
Depends on the schools.

Some on-line schools are well respected, others aren't accredited and the professional field they are connected to knows it.

My only suggest is for an associates or your bachelors, then an online degree is fine, but if you're going for grad school, I suggest the real thing.
tradional colledges.are the best they have a higher standard in teaching better degrees...and more to offer even tho they might be more expensive they are well worth it ...good luck
You really have to be cautious when dealing with an online college or degree program. Sure, you can get your Bachelor's in just about anything, but the key is if that program had the proper accreditation. If not, the degree is just another piece of paper..
Depends on why you are going to college. If you are going to make friends, develop contacts, and learn basic information then attending a traditional school would be better. However, if you want an accredited education quickly at a fraction of the cost then accredited online colleges may be the way to go.
