Are online/ *earn your degree at home* classes worth the money?

Question:
Do employers respect degrees/ certificates from online/ study at home schools? I ask because Im trying to decide between online classes or one of those 10 month career colleges for pharmacy technition

Answer:
In a word, NO. Your college education should be well-rounded. Even a 10-month course will give you some exposure to other subjects, people, interpersonal communication, etc. You also get other invaluable things with going to college - making friends, making industry contacts, better career placement, etc.

As far as employers, your education is only part of the equation. You need some job experience and you need to get into interviews and ace them. You need a well-written resume and a professional presentation / demeanor.

Good luck.
