I am 23 with an ba in mass media- i want to go a more corporate route, and want a masters online. But I am concerned that if i devote the time to completeing a masters in corporate communications will it mean anything if I'm not currently working inthat field. And is it beneficial for me to get the degree as far as job oppotunites considering my limited experience fresh out of college?
Answer:
Yes, get the Masters. Corporate America is treating a BA or BS as they treated High school diplomas 5 years ago. If you want doors to open, get the masters degree. It won't matter if you have been working in the field or not, someone will want to take a shot with you.
The first I would ask is the career department of your university.
