A friend has finished his freshman year in US college,he now says has failed his 12th in india, what now ?

Question:
The boy has failed his 12th std in India, without asking for his results the college granted him admissions, in good faith. He has now confessed to his parents that he has failed , but ironically done well in the freshman year in the US, what is his next souce of action. can he continue? , or should he take a break and finish his 12th or do his high school online there in the US. His parents are totally at a loss, never having had to overcome such a situation, there is no one to answer their problem? can someone knowledgeable please help?

Answer:
In this case, honesty may very well be the best policy. Your friend will most certainly want to notify the college of this, and to work with them to ensure that he will remain enrolled as a student.

In many cases, a G.E.D. (general equivalency degree) will suffice for the university to allow his continued enrollment; something which he can obtain with no more difficulty than taking a simple skills and comprehension test - exit exams from many US high schools are more difficult than this.

On the other hand, if your friend neglects to inform the university and it comes to light later, all academic work he has completed could be in jeopardy, and he could find himself dismissed from the campus. Academic integrity is something most schools - both in the US and abroad - take very seriously.
Does not say much for 'our' US college .does it?
relax..you did well you freshman year.be proud. regroup yourself and think accordinglly.you can do anything you put your mind to..if you can suceed once you can succeed a;; the time.but take a breather dont get stressed.then decide wisely from there go ahead and finish
