I attended college for less then a month Now they want to keep my money plus want more money?

Question:
I withdrew from Kaplan College I attended for about one week I attended one online class. Now they want to keep all my money plus want me to pay more money Where could I look up my rights at the school will not help me.

Answer:
Usually you get some portion of your tuition retunred, but i suppoe it could be different for an online course. Did you read the "fine print" before paying up? Maybe it mentioned something about a withdrawl fee. I'd say you should speak to someone incharge about this. It was only a week afterall.
Usually, you get a prorated refund at most schools if you withdraw within the first few weeks. After that they keep your money.
You have a limited amount of time to withdraw from classes before you lose most or all of your money. What are the asking the additional monies for?
I went to College for about a month and the school got the money for a whole year, 20 years later I had to pay it back. Call the Board of education and pay them directly they may give you a discount but they WILL TAKE YOUR TAX REFUNDS good luck
