Horse colleges?
Question:
Answer:
University Minnesota crookston(sp) has something and UM St Paul is in the process of putting in an all new equine facility. Also there is UW River Falls that has a great program and isn't far form the Minnesota boarder. I've researched many 'horse schools' so feel free to email me @ sp_ranch@yahoo.com
http://www.meredithmanor.com very good school
University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, has an equestrian program. Check it out, I imagine they have information about it online. If you really need help (I don't imagine you do)..
contact me at fortitudinousskeptic@yahoo.com
The lady who runs the program used to work at the same place I did. I can probably get you in contact with her if she's still there.
She's probably married now, she was engaged last I knew, but I don't know her married name.
I know you said that you don't need advice, but, you are better off learning from/working for someone GOOD in the horse industry for a few years and gaining practical experience, than wasting time and money on an equine studies degree.
TRUST ME - practical experience is respected WAY more than an education in this industry. It's sad but true. You can always go back to school... and you can learn everything they teach you in school from someone good. You'll pay your dues in school and then do it all over again.
Unless, of course, you are independently wealthy and have the means to own/operate your own stable without it being a successful source of income for the 1st 5 years AT LEAST - even then most people just break even.
