Question:
Answer:
Try to get a grant instead of a loan.
apply for a computer? damn. i wish i had that back ... oh never mind.
make sure you have your past tax returns handy. that is a HUGE asset when applying as they will without question want some financial background and thats the best indicator.
if you don't have tax returns, shame on you. or lucky you because that means you didn't work.
get your checking account statements out.
uhhh... otherwise hit that financial aid office prepared with questions. make those desk monkeys earn their paycheck by answering all your questions.
You could buy a computer that should have the capacity for the information you need to store on your hard drive through Craig's List if you are in the U.S. I've seen some really affordable ones. As for loans, again that is related to your location, but if you are in the states, go to www.fastweb.com and find all the scholarships that you can get.
Yahoo has a site for financial aid, loan information, etc.
at http://education.yahoo.com/college/finan...
Start telling people about your need for a computer, and you'll be surprised how many people that may want to help you for such a good cause! They tell others, and you'll find the human spirit is wonderful in helping out their fellow man.
