Does anyone know of any good online schools for Criminal Justice or Pre Law?

Question:
I have talked to a few people that dont think that my sister should go through Penn Foster Criminal Justice program so we have been looking for online college that arent very expesive. But I was wondering if anyone could tell me of a good college that has that major and that is totally online. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Answer:
Seriously, I don't think she'd be taken seriously in the field with an online degree. If Cr. Justice is what she wants she should suck it up & go to a real college. They may have a program where you can appear in classes by way of the internet if travelling is a problem.
University of Texas (Austin, Texas) has an online Bachelors of Science Criminal Justice degree. UT is an execellent school and can be difficult to get into. I believe the core classes can be taken at a Jr or local college and the all upper level courses online. UT has an enrollment of approx 50,000.

Northwestern State University (Natchitoches, LA) has an online Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice. It is completely online (all lower and upper level courses). This school is accredited by all the appropriate agencies (It is a state school) and is much easier to get into than UT. NSU has an enrollment of almost 10,000 students. The good thing about NSU is that if you are enrolled in only their online program then they do not charge you out-of-state fees.

I recommend both universities.
Seriously, Penn Foster is completely accreditted. I did extensive research on penn foster before I started my engineering degree program with them. They are ACE accredited which is accpeted by numerous colleges and universities across america. In order to get your credits transferred to another college, you have to go through A.CE (the american council on education) and have them send your transccripts. Like anyother two-year college, not all of your credots will be accepted. You can get this information at www. acenet.edu
