The National Restaurant Association does the ServSafe program. This is what many culinary arts schools use and many restaurants accept this as a Food Handlers Certification. They offer all materials and an online test at their website: http://www.nraef.org/servsafe/
any culinary program should have the serve safe course as one of the very first classes you take. If not it should be the last class you take before going into your first kitchen. If its not part of your classes then you should seriously reconsider your school.
