NEWS via Associated Press?

Question:
I worked for an online college newspaper that delivers college news over the web. Our question is this

Do you have to pay to post news from the Associated Press?

Are there any other companies that offer free up to date Entertainment articles?

We notice a lot of news webistes have associated press news articles. We wanted to do the same but didn't want to break any copyright laws. Can anyone help?

Answer:
I do know many sites copy news from many news sources. I also notice that any of the major news web sites do have a copy right statement below every article. I doubt very much if it is all free. They have to earn money so it would be reasonable that they want paid for what they do. Many universities have journalism departments. If yours don't then one near you will have. They have to know the answer to your question.
