How do you find out what a colleges reputation is online?

Question:

Answer:
There are many rankings for colleges. The most famous one is the annual college rankings from US NEws. If you searchonline you will find them.

Many people have objections to the way US News does their rankings, but in general, they are probably the most neutral and objective. If you want to read the whole article, go to your local library and ask the librarians and they will find the original magazine for you, and probably they will have some of the college books that list all the USA colleges and tell details about each of them. That is really more reliable than searching online.
search, college reps.
Go to the college's website (if you don't know it off hand, Google comes in handy!)

Then go to the link that says "prerequisites" or "admission information" or something along that sort.

If the college wants to see you have a 4.2, then it's a selective college and therefore usually has a better reputation. If the college usually accepts students with 2.5, it's not as selective.
Talk to current or former students.
