Employment opportunities for beginner online writers?

Question:
I am a junior in college working towards a major in journalism with a minor in economics. I would like to write, or possibly edit, online part-time while in school.

Although I have five years of professional work experience in the finance industry, I do not have any formal experience in journalism thus far. Mostly, I am interested in getting my feet wet and hopefully making a little cash.

Personal experiences are preferred, but any reliable opportunity is appreciated.

Thank you!

Answer:
Checkout elance.com. You can bid on writing projects. Since you're just getting started, you can bid low since you're more interested in the experience.

Some website owners hire people to write articles for their website. Or, you might find people that would hire you to write their ebook.
