Aeronautical engineering colleges in india?
Question:
Answer:
Only a very few colleges in India are offering Aeronautical Engg. Four IITs(Mumbai, Kharagpur, Kanpur & Chennai), Punjab Engg. College, Chandigarh and Hindustan college of Engg. and Technology.
But it is really hard to get admission in these colleges. For the IITs, you need to crack the Joint Entrance Exam conducted by the IITs(often called IIT-JEE) that is really a hard nut to break. Actually IITs are offering Aerospace Engg., not Aeronautical. But if you get chance in IITs, you should not miss this one too. For HCET & PEC, you must clear All India Engg. Entrance Exam(AIEEE) conducted by CBSE with a high rank.
But if you are really interested in pursuing Aeronautical Engg, you must go for Associate Membership Examination of The Aeronautical Society of India(AMAeSI). It is composed of two sections: Section-A and Section-B. Once you are a graduate member of AeSI, you are treated as BE in Aeronautical Engg. from an Indian university. The demands of members of the society is increasing and many of them are already serving reputed posts (Our president APJ Abdul Kalam being one of them!!). The address of society is: The Aeronautical Society of India,13-B, Indra Prastha Estate, New Delhi-110002.The website is http://aesi.org
Since its an associate course, it doesn't matter at all where do you study.you only need to pass the exams conducted by AeSI that are conducted twice a year( Dec. & Jun). Some coachings in Delhi are providing quality education for it. Contact me or its good if you know the people concerned with this line if you want to study Aeronautics...
ALL THE BEST TO YOU FROM MY SIDE....
