Is there really a such thing as an online school?

I am looking to better my education/earn a degree from home while the kids are at school...hubby at work, and need to know if there are really any good schools online.as a matter of fact are any of the online colleges for real...anybody out there ever gotten a degree this way...how does it work...will it be recognized...and can you still use financial aid the same?

Yes, there are some very good online colleges. I am in the military and stationed overseas. A lot of military members are completing their educations this way.

Your degree will be recognized and you can use financial aid!

I received my Bachelors Degree in 2004 this way.

Yes. My daughter did most of her school work on-line. She got her degree from Empire State Collage (in New York).

Yes Athabasca University, my coworker is doing her MBA from there. Their entire program is available online, campus is in Athabasca, Alberta Canada. Good school.
