I am trying to buy some text books online what is the cheapest online bookstore?
Question:
Answer:
Buying books online is the best. I buy nearly all my books online. A method that has worked for me is to buy the books I need to read right away for the first two weeks of class at the U bookstore (or find out if the book is in the library and go there to do the necessary reading) and then buy all the rest on Amazon.com. Buying used books from Amazon's independent "marketplace" sellers is usually significantly cheaper than buying the books in any store (shipping for any one book from a seller is $3.99; often you'll find mass-market paperbacks, some in excellent condition, selling for just a penny, so some of these you can get for as cheap as $4). And if you decide to buy your books new from Amazon (which is still always cheaper than buying them new from the store), shipping is free with purchases of more than $25.
A website called BookHQ (www.bookhq.com) will actually compare for you the prices of books from virtually all the used-book search engines on the Internet. It's super-great.
halfoff.com
If you don't mind used, Amazon.com Marketplace (don't buy directly from Amazon, buy from their "other sellers"). Just search for books by ISBN (or title, or author, or publisher)
I have bought numerous college text books online. I used half.com.
Half.com is worth a look.
Use textbookx.com. they currently have a free shipping deal at http://www.24houredeals.com/textbookx-co... this is usually the largest expense, so if you can avoid shipping charges, they should put them over the top.
I bought my books there all the time.
