If you go through a community college or a state university, you know they are credible. Many long standing colleges and universities are starting to offer online degree programs such as Harvard University and Pennsylvania State University (also refered to as Penn State). I have provided some examples below.

If you mean a school where you will be able to get a job when you graduate, then the answer is -- none are credible.
Taranto is right that you can just ask and they will tell you how they are accredited. Where he is wrong is the job aspect. Many people are successful with online and distance education. The University of Phoenix is the LARGEST University in the world with over 120,000 students (thanks to the online portion). Not only are they accredited but I have also worked with teachers and administrators in education with a degree from UoP. I also know of hundreds of companies and the United STates Military who pay for their employees to go to these online schools. They are very quickly gaining respect from business, technology, education, and from their "land based" peers.

Then DON'T BOTHER.
