At this point in the world it really doesn't make a difference, many schools offer the same acdemic programs online as they do through their ground campus. You just want to avoid the enourmous ridiculous schools that don't really count; like University of Phoenix, AIU, Strayer, etc. Also, choose a school who also offers ground classes. I attend Grand Canyon University, they offer both online and ground. I really like it and feel I'm getting the same education, if not better, than traditional school. I get more one on one with the instructor and learn more from my classmates as well because they have to participate rather than sit in the back not talking or asking questions. Check them out.
No I do not feel an online degree is as good because you miss out on a lot of the classroom interaction, group work, presenting speeches and projects, etc. that are all part of working in today's job market. As an employer, I would be much more likely to want to hire someone who has worked with people, than got an online diploma. And most people I know who have taken online classes have cheated.

It depends. For someone like myself who's had years of professional experience before deciding to finish up my degree, it is just as good as a traditional degree if not better. I am able to apply my skill obtained through my years of experience to understand the theories through real life events. It also helps to shape my understanding of business functions on various levels. No, you don't get the speeches, etc, but there is interacation between classmates. Besides, if you're working in the industry that you're in school for, your speeches are the presentation that you provide to you collegues.
