Question:
I originally was considering Georgia State University for their joint MA/PhD program with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality. However, I have a great oppurtunity to move and live in Texas near houston. If I could find the smallest educational oppurtunity in TX, then I could rest my mind.
Answer:
Both Texas and SMU offer grad degrees in sociology, but neither are near Houston. Check out Rice and/or University of Houston. Perhaps, U. of Texas has a Houston campus.
Rice has a program:

University of Houston has a program:

Hope this helps.
