Question:
I am going to an online college and I got financial aid for it, I have took four classes online and I really don't want to graduate from an online school. There is a technical college that I would like to go to summer of 2007. Would I still have to pay the online school stafford loans back if I didn't take all the classes and transfer to the technical school and get financial aid there?
Answer:
Not only you'll pay them back but its defaulting a loan. you'll be better off graduating with them then going to that tech school cuz most of those dont even transfer to one another. do some research about it, call the school you're thinking about going and ask them about your plan and see what they'd say. good luck!
as long as you finish the current courses you are in BEFORE you transfer, you will be o.k. if you drop, it's considered an overpayment and you may have trouble getting it at the next school. As long as you are in school, you do not have to pay your loans..for 6 months after you get out or quit. Most online school classes will NOT transfer to an offline school
