Is it possible to get a job after online law school?

Question:
i was alwasy wondering if online law school can be actually a good one to find a job and be on same level as other graduates from regular day time college? I saw law schools are very expensive and even some online are expensive as well but are they good enough to even go there and study? thanks

Answer:
Difficult to get a job no matter what law school you go to. Top firms requre grad from Harvard etc. Many other rated firms require degree from ABA accreditation school.
Not all firms require ABA accreditation though- try small firms, plaintiff firms or if bilingual, areas of practice primarily associated with the additional language you speak, ie immigration.
If you can pass the bar, you'll be looked at the same as a graduate from a low ranked regular law school. Job prospects for both will be tough since there are a ton of lawyers already and law schools keep pumping out more.

The advantage of a regular accredited law school, no matter how low ranked, is that they have a presence in the local community. An established alumni network and reputation. That can help make up some for the low ranking of the school.

An online law school and other non-ABA accredited schools don't have that advantage. Frankly, someone only goes there if they have no other choice. If cost is your issue, you can get enough financial aid to go to a regular one. Look for scholarships, etc.

A lawyer isn't guaranteed success and a high income. Think hard before sacrificing what you have now for 3 or 4 years of law school hell.
The school HAS to be accredited. If it's not, most schools won't let you sit for the bar, which means that the degree will be practically worthless.

Look at some firm sites and government agencies and see how many hire from online law schools. I don't think many do
