Considering and ON-Line college. NEED HELP!?
Question:
Answer:
I have been taking online college courses for the last two semesters from a local technical college. Just to let you know that at least with this school it is extremely demanding and requires a lot of self-discipline. Assignments have to be emailed in proper format by deadlines, you are required to participate in online discussions, and you don't have the benefit of being able to raise your hand everytime you have a question.
If Strayer has the same type of requirements you should consider starting off with just one class to get your feet wet.
I don't know anything about Strayer but you should also do some research to see if they are a certified university.
well if you just need a degree as a technicality, then you should do something like that, just make sure the school is accredited and gives a valid degree. Basically, an online education is not really all that impressive, but if you are already good and some places just want you to have some degree for their requirements, it will do. But if you are looking for a job that is not like this, then you should go to a real school.
If it is between you and other equally qualified candidates a "real" degree will give you an edge. You could learn from the online courses and massage the truth a little on your resume. No one really checks into that.
