Financial aid for married woman wanting to go back to college?
Question:
Answer:
fill out FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov and if they calculate ur and ur husband's income to be a low income they will give u student grants. u can also fill out a form called Board of Government waiver. that form waives all classes or units fees so u wont have to pay for any class ur attending. my advice is, stay away from student loans, they're horrible.
Pell Grants. And apply for student loans.
Start by filling out a FAFSA. You may be eligible for free federal money.
I'm on a pell grant, you might try looking into that.
I know a lot of married people going back to school who are on it.
You just need to fill out a fasfa to see if you qualify for it.
The Pell Grant award is $4,050 max. As the others have said, fill out the FAFSA because that's how they determine who gets one.
Here is a good page on grants: http://www.salliemae.com/before_college/...
But there is lots of other free money out there. Don't forget to do a scholarship search!
